Community Involvement
At Little Learning Grove, we believe that some of the most meaningful learning happens beyond the classroom — out in the world, alongside family and community. That’s why we’ve set aside one Friday each month during the school year for a special, family-friendly learning excursion.
These outings are thoughtfully planned and led by our LLG teaching team, and they tie directly into what your child has been exploring in our thematic units. From nature hikes to museum visits to local farm days, each experience is designed to extend classroom learning, spark curiosity, and create shared memories.
Participation is always encouraged, but never required. If your child would like to join us, we ask that they be accompanied by at least one adult family member (mom, dad, auntie, grandpa — all are welcome!). Siblings, cousins, and family friends are invited to come along too — the more, the merrier!
These monthly excursions are not only a time for joyful, hands-on learning — they’re also a wonderful way to connect with other families, build community, and celebrate all the growth your child is experiencing.
We can’t wait to adventure with you — both within our classroom walls and far beyond them.
Here are a few of the meaningful adventures we've shared together as part of our monthly community outings:
🐮 Crowe’s Nest Farm – Farm animals, nature trails, and hands-on discovery
🚒 Local Fire Station Visit – Meet-and-greet with real-life heroes
🌳 Circle C Park Play & Picnic – Outdoor fun and family connection
🌈 RainbowDance Class – Movement, rhythm, and joyful self-expression
🌱 Garden Planting Day at LLG – Digging, planting, and growing together
🌼 Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center – Exploring native plants and nature trails
Each outing is carefully chosen to enrich our learning themes, celebrate community, and offer families a chance to connect in a relaxed, playful setting.
